Eight things you may not have known about me:
I know that I have already shared a lot lately. I do not know if you want to know more about me, but I want to light on a few happier things tonight. My number is Eight:

1.)   I have an unshakable testimony of my Father in heaven’s Love for me. He has been there for me my whole life and I am most grateful for His presence and kindness as I barrel down the path back to Him. I am not perfect… in fact I am a lot worse than I desire to be. But I know that I can repent and find my way back to Him too. I work daily on trying to reach my true potential: His ever gracious and loving daughter.

2.)  I believe with all who I am to my very soul that each of you, every last one, is a precious princess/prince and deserve the highest praises. I look up to you constantly and know each of you is more special than words can express. You are all… better than me in my little world. Especially that homeless man on the corner. When asked why he was homeless, he said that staying anywhere too long felt like he was in a prison and he wanted the choice of being free. I admire him because he is doing what makes him happy.

3.)   This in turn makes me ever-so-very-badly shy. I may have known you for years and still become shy in your presence. You could be a roommate whom I would have seen every day, and suddenly I don’t know where to put my hands and start sitting up a little straighter when you come near. I may suddenly avoid your gaze because I am no worthy of looking you in the eye. I try not to get so… nervous, but I do know that your worth is higher than mine. You are an amazing person and deserving of all the love my Father in Heaven has asked me to have for you. Whether you have thrown me away like last week’s garbage or envelope me in a lovely hug, you are heirs to a kingdom one can only dream about and worthy of my love for you. When I am sincere in anything I say to you, I try to add a smile. If there is no smile, I may be covering pain :P You are forewarned lol HUGS!

4.)   I am empathetic. I not only sympathize with you, but I have an amazing gift to understand and put myself in your shoes. You say I don’t understand and never could… My spiritual gift gives me the empathy to KNOW EXACTLY how you are hurting or feeling.

When I am using my gift you would be amazed at the things that I suddenly know about you. It may sound a little strange to you… but I promise, I understand. I truly really do and you cannot convince me otherwise. It is a sacred gift from my Father in Heaven and is at my disposal if only to prove my love for you in using it. I see you in ways you wouldn’t imagine anyone seeing in you. And you are special more than you can imagine.

On a darker note… I think I understand Hitler and the terrorists that hit us on 9/11. I may empathize their feelings and understand what led them to it, but, and in an effort not to look so awful, please know that I do NOT condone such actions ever!!!! Hurting people for ANY reason is unethical and evil! I strive hourly to make sure that I do not hurt anyone, but fail more often than I wish to admit unfortunately. Words can be so powerfully abrasive, especially sometimes when they’re not used righteously.

5.)   I want ever so very much to do something that will change the world for the better. Even just my little part of it. I have several ideas in which I’ve thought out to begin this, but I haven’t acted on them other than to draw them up.

A) One idea is to set up an employment agency unlike anything ever seen.

I want to set up a place where people can come and get workshops in their particular job desires. These workshops would include teaching acceptable public behavior and speech, proper work behavior and speech, what not to say and curbing foul words before they escape in moments of stress, general well being mentally and physically, how to be successful without being corrupt, and other ‘how to’ suggestions to not only keep a job, but for success with flying colors.

After they go through the workshops to a satisfactory enough level, they will be set up with an expert application and resume creator to tailor a personal resume for them.
Afterwards that resume will be sent out to worthy businesses that are looking for new employees with a personal recommendation from my agency.

Once the resume is answered and an interview is set up, the individual will be given 7 outfits from my agency:
3 everyday work outfits
2 interview worthy and other occasions dressup outfits for when they’re needed
1 full tux or ballgown worthy of company parties and formal gatherings.
1 modest workout outfit, to encourage a good fitness regimen

After six months in their new job, if they like it and are making more than enough to get by on, I will nicely ask for a donation for my cause and even recommend a small monthly payment option to be set up. This will be optional of course.
If they decline, then after a year I will again ask for contributions for my cause and for the various child centers my agency will create for those single parents, or anyone truly needing the service. This will also be an optional donation. I will continue asking for donations every year they stay at the job procured for them by my agency. Yes it is optional to donate, and I’m sure I will become annoying, but we cannot survive on sheer will alone ;) I have looked into that! lol

B) I would love to open a soup kitchen. I know I have no physical strength to speak of, but if I can find a tall enough, comfortable enough stool, I will so be in the serving line! I would ask for volunteers to help me in the receiving and cooking ends. I could even hire someone to seek out contributions and do some of that myself. But my favorite place would be serving people their meals… just so I know I made a difference and people are more comfortable would mean so much to me. Perhaps the soup kitchen could be next door to the agency? Hehe

C) My favorite option to change the world is my hotel. If I can get it started then perhaps the other two ideas can be supported by the hotel’s income alone. I know that that will be a while. I want it in Canada (I picked out the perfect mountain already with a great flat spot halfway up with amazing views!!!), but will be happy anywhere that is snows habitually every year in the mountains.

I want my bed-and-breakfast/Inn/Hotel to be called “Off the beaten path”. It will be completely self sufficient; making its own purified water from the rainfall and nearby lake and river, making its own electricity with sun solar panels, well made double windmills, and the river’s swift water flow. The extra power will be stored in many enormous energy saving batteries or the like. It will have the capability to purify, use, and store several thousands of gallons of water a day. It will have its own septic tanks away from the hotel full of organically decomposing bacteria so the hotel does not harm the floral and fauna life nearby.

There will be workshops inside that will help people learn how to can their favorite foods and prepare other food storage items to last as long as possible. Another workshop will teach them how to conserve water safely, and create a self-sufficient dwelling place off the grid for themselves (like the hotel). There will be a gun workshop with safety tips and gun handling protocol and advice on how to wear it and other things for safety and control. At the end of shooting practice, they will be given the opportunity to register and buy a gun right afterwards.

If they stay with us they automatically get a discount for the workshop of their choice. The prices will be based on how much the cost is to let them attend one (such as replacing bullets, canning items and food, plus the time the teacher spent teaching, they will be paid to teach etc etc.)

This would be my number one dream to see come to pass and be a part of. I would set aside a few rooms on the floor under the ballroom for people who have nowhere to go or have problems finding rooms because of price. All this tying in to my desire to serve everyone in some way.

Inside the Inn make sure to visit Serenity’s Spa and Kyra’s Kitchen, a wonderful spa with every amenity and a formal restaurant created to tantalize your taste-buds.

D) Another thing I would like to be part of setting up, is creating a Kimber-Academy where I live. If you don’t know what I am talking about, please look it up online. It is a great school in Arizona that is exactly what I want for my children. I would even extend its capabilities to teach students all the way up to graduation senior year. School should not be so long and these public schools are falling to pot.

In Kimber academy teachers could have that second job they desire, kids could have more parent time and home learning, and they develop a better imaginative and cognitive thinking processes than in public school.
It also gives the kids attending the opportunity to be raised around children who have like morals and kinder dispositions. They teach children to love, care and take care of everyone, instead of hate or despise or be jealous of people.

It is not a ‘dog eat dog world’, that is just one man’s perception taught at public schools. The world is what you create and I want to create and raise youngsters who share love, take care of others, live honestly, and take initiation for themselves to be good upright individuals in society.

Create your own bubble. With our Father in Heaven’s good grace and guidance that bubble will remain unbroken and unpolluted. Strive to do good and surround yourself with good all the time. YOU can change how YOUR day went by believing in goodness, and taking life with a giggle instead of a slew of bad words.

We all mess up, it’s time to start teaching it is okay as long as we try harder not to next time. And if again you fall, again pick yourself up. Repent each time and make a promise not to again. Won’t mean you won’t mess up yet again, but it will mean you are still working to be His child. Once we stop working on our life, life stops working for us.

I would love to enact and create and start up all of these ideas. It would mean everything to me to see goodness growing like that.

6.)  I love big swirly skirts, beautiful gloves, and the grace befitting a Lady with the kindness of an angel. I try to emulate a lady in all that I do. And let me tell you… I fail miserably! But I can always start over the next day and that helps to remember that. If I could be as precious as a princess, going around with the service of a knight in shining armor, and wield the love of my Savior in all I do, then I would be happy. That would be the person I desire to be every day and try to achieve in all I do in every way. Grace is so sadly an overlooked underused word these days….

In order to be one’s self and not a failure of the world, I like to encourage people to speak their minds. However I ask them to speak their minds in as non-offensive a way as possible so that their guardian angels don’t get offended ;) There is a difference between being open and forthright, and crude, vulgar, and crass in your expressions. We can all be a little better here… I am working on it.

P.S.: I get cold easily and hot easily. Thanks to the eds I am very temperature sensitive. Skirts keep me warm and regulate a comfortable temperature for my legs/knees. Gloves are beautiful to me too. My fingers, toes, and lips turn blue in the middle of the summer at temperatures far above 100 degrees. Gloves, socks, shoes, and lipstick help make me look “alive”.

P.P.S. I wouldn’t feel as silly wearing all my “get-up” if people wouldn’t look at me whenever I come into their visual or walk in a room. I am VERY tall and I know that is the real reason they look: because there is so much to look at! It would be nicer if I didn’t stand out so much, it is what it is and I try to smile for them… when my shyness doesn’t drive me to bashfulness and darting eyes.

7.)   “Everything in its place and a place for everything.” I love organizing. This goes with decorations. I love decorating; both permanent rooms and places for one-day parties. I am always happy to dive into a new purse and sort my belongings into it. Or give me a room and say, “I want this” and I will be not only be happy but thrilled! Recently I have been doing poster-boards sort of things and making some nice ‘reusable’ poster boards for my ward. I think in another life I must have been an awesome room designer!!! (I am not sure if I believe in other lives... But on some days I do :P When it suits me? That sounds terrible lol)

8.)  Last but certainly not least:

I love you.

Three words in their simplest form and strung together to convey in the smallest way possible my immense and sincerely deep and honest feelings for you as a person who has ever admitted that you have met me. There is no way to explain how I feel for you except in these words… do not take them lightly as you have in the past:

“I. Love. You.”

I love each and every one of you. It may have been a few hours since we last talked/chatted/messaged/called/hungout/texted/asked over, but I still know who you are, and my love does not grow distant when we do physically. Many people cannot understand me when I say “I love you”. Some think I may have meant, “You are awesome and fun to be with”. Others think I simply don’t know what that word means and over-use it too much. Some get offended when they believe that is the case.

Let me tell you, you are all wrong in this. Completely, laughable almost but not, W-R-O-N-G.

Whether you believe that I on some level love you, or whether you believe that I over-use this sentence, you are wrong. My love for you is ever so very much more than those three little words. I shall try to light upon a few meanings here.

First, I am pointing out that Love can be for many different reasons. And there are many different kinds of love. But here now I tell you: I love you. I do NOT mean ‘I like you’. Many of you I do also like, but ‘I love you’ is a whole different connotation and feeling to me.

When I say “I love you” I mean it from the center of who I am. My desire to show love for you is written in my very makeup. It is what makes my soul. Expressing my Love is the desire to share my awe of who you are to me with you. I very much desire to share my love for you in order to let you know you are cared for, thought of often, remembered constantly, and give me endearing thoughts when my mind alights on even just your name. When I say “I love you” it means I wish you to know my exact feelings in regard to YOU as a sentient being in this world. When I tell you “I love you” I mean to help cheer you up from whatever uncomfortable feeling you may have and wipe it away because you are too amazing to have to pass through such travail. When I tell you “I love you” it comes as a sincere desire for you to be made light and to know that you are special to me.

“I love you” means that I know who you are and that, even though we haven’t spoken in decades, I still feel your special and very personal power and warmth and am grateful for our experience together. Everyone’s power is different, I do truly feel it. Each of you add something personal to the power you radiate and no one else can even pretend to have your special effect on me. Another reason that my love for you is special and unique and tailored to you: it is a reflection of the awesomeness you possess and radiate yourself. I love you for… radiating you.

I love that no matter how long it has been since our last chat that you still open your arms to me wide and give me that hug as if I never left. Time does not color the love I have for you in any way. Experience with you however is a different story as my love for you deepens with each time we are together or chatting.

I love you means that I care. Maybe once upon a time you may have seriously hurt me. I love you, and it matters not if you were mad at me or viciously mean to me once upon a time for whatever reason. I bounce pretty well ;) My heart feels what it feels. Know that I am still on your side if/when you need it or ask. I love you means that if it has been a while, I will still be here with that hug. I still care. I still want you happy, I still pray for the best for you. I still worry when you are sad/sick/upset/hurt.

I love you and I care about you. I may not have all the words I mean because the English language does not have them in its arsenal, but for whatever its worth, I do love you. I love you because… I love you; I just do.

“I love you” is also an invitation TO you that if you EVER need anything I am here. Ask and I will do what is in my power. Please accept when something is NOT in my power, but understand that that does not mean my love for you has diminished in any way. I still love you and offer what I can with the sincerest desire to serve you and make you happy; and with the humblest countenance in my serving.

This is part of the true love of Christ.

I only wish to someday emulate ALL that encompasses such love. I know that I lack the grace to bear my life’s difficulties in a way to honor and give glory to my Father in Heaven. I am learning though and believe I will master what He has put before me every day that I do what He would have had me do.

Goodnight all. I hope you enjoyed learning more about me. Fun game! I enjoyed seeing everyone’s posts on FB and am grateful to be let in to what makes your life unique… and I love you for it.

Next time I tell you how much you mean too me, that I love you, please know that it was from a place deeper in my heart than the light happy notes in my tone can convey.

Be good to each other.

~I am CHRISTIAN. Hear me ROAR~

Pepsi's new cans have the picture of the empire state building and the pledge of allegiance. The pledge leaves out 2 little words:

"Under God"

When questioned, Pepsi said they, "Do not wish to offend anyone."

So when we don't buy their product they won't be offended when they don't receive a few little bills of ours that say "In God We Trust".

Oh please let this not be true... This country was MADE so we don't have to worry about our religious beliefs, so we could display our ideas ALL OVER THE PLACE if we wanted to. Now that right has been taken away!!!!! We're supposed to worry about offending someone?!?!!?! IT'S OFFENSIVE that I have to worry about you being Offended over something that is IMPORTANT TO ME!!! IT is MY RIGHT to proclaim my worship of my Father in Heaven!!! I have the right not to feel I have to CENSURE MYSELF for YOU!!!!! Censure YOURSELF< and let me BE ME!!!!! WHATEVER MY BELIEF, YOU HAVE NO RIGHT TO BE OFFENDED or believe that I even WISH TO OFFEND YOU!!!! WHAT AN EGO YOU MUST HAVE TO THINK YOU ARE BETTER THAN ME!!!!

HYPOCRITES!!!

OR, is it that are you THAT INSECURE!?!!!?!?
You say to profess non-god so I don't OFFEND YOU WITH MY BELIEF???! I AM OFFENDED BY YOURS ONLY BECAUSE YOUR BELIEF IS TAKING MY RIGHT TO PROCLAIM MINE IN EVERY WAY!!!!  WHY ARE YOU OFFENDED anyway!?!?!?!?!? ARE YOU THAT insecure in your belief that my belief will totally over power yours if I simply State it on something so innate as a SODA CAN?!!?!?!? THIS COUNTRY WAS MADE FOR ME TO PROCLAIM MYSELF ANYWHERE!!!!  This country was FORMED AROUND GOD to WORSHIP my GOD in any way I see fit!!! I see fit to proclaim it on my soda can without you being offended about MY BELIEFS!!!!!! I SEE FIT TO PROCLAIM MY BELIEF IN THE PLEDGE THAT BROUGHT YOU THIS FREE COUNTRY IN THE FIRST PLACE!!!! IN the CONSTITUTION that GAVE you a FREE country in THE FIRST PLACE!!!! YOU WOULD NOT BE HERE TO BE OFFENDED IF NOT FOR self proclaiming CHRISTIANS { L I K E   M E !!! } DESIRING TO PROCLAIM THEIR BELIEFS WITHOUT FEELING CENSURED in any way shape or form!!!!!

THIS is the FREE RIGHT you have TAKEN away from me that BLOOD has been spilled for and over! I WANT THAT RIGHT BACK RIGHT NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

GOD was here FIRST!!! You want an atheist country, GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!! Stop changing THIS ONE MADE ESPECIALLY FOR MY  RIGHT TO WORSHIP to MY GOD full of HIS chosen FOLLOWERS!!!!! GET YOUR OWN damned COUNTRY and stop making me feel like I need to censure MY RIGHTFUL BELIEFS for you INSECURE yet EGOTISTICAL little COWARD!!!! (Yes I know the insane contradiction there, BUT YOU ARE THE ONE BEING CONTRADICTORY!!!!)

This country has DONE TOO MUCH ALREADY TO INSURE ME MY RIGHT than for you too take away my right not to worry about YOU BEING OFFENDED BY MY PROCLAIMED BELIEF!!! YOU are the STRANGER HERE you ungodly-demon praying on us god worshiping CHRISTIANS!!!! YOU  Insecure IDIOT LEAVE ME ALONE! I am NOT offended by your belief, only that you are too ignorant and insecure to face me when I proclaim mine other than to say I am wrong and try to make me feel as if I've done something wrong for PROCLAIMING MY BELIEF!!!! I WILL N O T BE INTIMIDATED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Because face it, YOU HAVE NO RIGHT TO TELL ME MY BELIEF IS WRONG or be offended that I have a belief in God WHEN THIS COUNTRY was specifically created FOR MY RIGHT TO PROCLAIM MY WORSHIP TO MY GOD!!!!!

THIS is the reason we became a country in the FIRST place!!!! All that this country was created for is Being taken away by your TYRANNY!!!!!!! UGH!!! YOU MAKE ME SICK!!!!!

I just want what my christian forefathers promised me with their BLOOD. Freedom. Freedom not to feel censured. Freedom to proclaim without anyone trying to tell me I am wrong. Freedom to worship how where or what I may in the country that was created around MY HEAVENLY FATHER in the first place. You have no right to take away my freedom. Stop trying to take away my right to profess my belief with your ungodly raised eyebrows that are only securing your fate in that awful place reserved for those who deny Him and His Love.

I care about you as a person. I value your right to believe your way. I WILL NOT Censure you or make you feel censured in your right to proclaim your belief. I have integrity there. Which is more than I can say to most of you that prefer atheism. The right to choose is sacred, and should not come with addendums or reservations when it comes to proclaiming that that choice.

Stop putting on me what I would never put upon you. Tyranny is something I will fight about. You start with my religious beliefs... then to my proclaiming my beliefs... where will it end... in your desire to control the world?

Wasn't one Hitler bad enough?

I will fight back and add to that blood spilled by those courageous men if needed. But be forewarned: It will not be mine that is spilled. I will WIN.

... Because I have that-being-you-wish-me-not-to-reference fully on my side.

May God Bless your immortal soul and lead you to His perfect paths before it is too late.

I'm not an expert.

Square USA Flag

I'm not an expert, but life sure seems to be throwing curveballs at America lately. And she just keeps right on missing them.

It's true I'm not an expert, but I believe the original creators of what's left of our current government knew the difference between right and wrong.

I’m not an expert, but the government in this fine country isn’t quite what it used to be. It certainly does seem different than portrayed to us in our school lessons.

I mean, I’m not an expert, but most civilizations started to decline after 200 years because the people expected more from their government than it was designed to do. I’m not an expert, but I don’t think a person should demand more from a government than what it was established for.

I’m not an expert, but I thought government was solely supposed to govern violence and keep the peace.
I’m not an expert, but people shouldn’t be expecting a government to feed, cloth, and administer healing to them. I’m not an expert, but I thought that wasn’t in the job description when the government first took the job. That just doesn’t seem right.

I mean, I wasn’t there so I don’t really know, but I was taught that people should make a living for themselves, not ask Caesar to pay their bills.

I mean, if I was offered a job with certain duties to uphold, I would expect to ONLY do those duties specified. There is usually no clause that says: “At any time in the future will you be asked to save this corporation from incredible debt that it incurred itself, and also pay for all other employee’s paychecks and housing and food bills and health bills.” I don’t know about you, but there is NO WAY I would sign up for a job like that!

I’m not an expert, but I don’t remember any patriots in the first war against Britain asking for all that, no demanding all that when the government was first created. I mean, I’m not an expert, but I think I remember them doing their OWN businesses to make this a thriving country. I’m no expert, but “The American Way” always meant "THE HARD WORK WAY" and "THE FREEDOM TO WORK THAT HARD" to me. I’m no expert, but I’m pretty sure I learned that as a child, I mean I think so….

I’m not an expert, but shouldn’t different people working in the SAME government TALK to each other? They both look like adults to me. If I were their mommy (Reid and Obama’s), and I’m not an expert, but I’d be putting them BOTH in time-out until they resolved their issues, IN A REAL CORNER, none of this, ‘pout-and-be-about’ stuff, no siree. But I’m not an expert at poli-dick-ing around.

I’m not an expert, but to me a country of FREE PEOPLE does not mean taking away our choices, no matter how much someone else disagrees with them.

I’m not an expert, but if one loves their country, they shouldn’t try to take advantage of its government. I’m no expert, but I thought the saying was “Service rendered”, not “Service Gained”....

I’m not an expert, but I was raised to speak, think, and act for myself. I’m not an expert, but taking these away from me does not give me the proclaimed freedom in our constitution. I’m not an expert, but saying I cannot have a gun is expressly inherent to that freedom to choose to have one. I’m not an expert, but that freedom goes with choice for anything that doesn’t hurt anyone. I’m not an expert, but I was taught what the difference in that was….

I’m not an expert, but when I see children in the public school systems (yes I was raised in one too) I see followers, not leaders. I’m not an expert, but the world seems to work better when we have more of the latter.

I’m not an expert. You cannot take this as if it was from one. I am just me, a citizen of a country that is both fiscally and morally bankrupt.

But again, that’s just my opinion. I’m not an expert after all.

Then again... I do know the difference between right and wrong.

 We all should.

To Dream... vigorously, wholly, and fantastically!

Writing is so much fun. Not so much the typing, my hands can do without that, but what I enjoy the most is the dreaming.

How many people can delve into a world before unknown and live in it as real as if they were a true visitor into an actual preexisting place? A true visionary makes the best sort of story tellers. I hope to rise to such a level as I write. I see the world, now it's time to put it on paper and make the characters seem as real there as they do in my mind's eye.

Experience is the best writer. How then do most people create worlds that don't exist in nature? Experience can come in many forms though. A real dream, a daydream, a nightmare even can bring up the most inviting and awesome experiences. A mind's trained eye can tell you what you should or ought to be experiencing far better than if you just 'make up' a situation. No, it is far better to dream a reality, to participate in it and delve into the underbelly of a dream with the vigor of a ravenous consuming beast.

So I leave for a bit. I am determined to tame that beast and swallow up every tidbit of reality that comes with it. Full founded characters are more than meets the eye in life, why not in dreams as well.  Farewell this world. I shall return when I have the experience of a lifetime to share with you!

GrrrRibbit Haboob!

A publishing house for self publishing has contacted me. I am still not interested in doling out all that money for my books. I am seeking an agent to help me find a real publisher. My books are far too interesting to foot the bill myself.

My hands have gotten worse and worse with the EDS (Ehlers Danlos Syndrome). I wear fingerless gloves ALL the time now, even in 115 degree heat. My lips turn blue as if cold and so do my fingers and toes. Poor circulation? It's laughable for me until they start hurting from the cold. At that point I fish out the handheld heat packs to slip inside my gloves ;D Mmmm toasty! And yes, I actually HAVE used the warmers in 120 degree heat! Nice note, at least my lovely husband has no qualms about warming his wife's lips for her whenever she has need of it. After 11 and a half years of marriage it's nice to see that the romance continues!

My book GrrrRibbit! has become my most publishable story at the moment. Its a middle grade fiction that is very dear to my heart and actually starts in Arizona where I grew up. Haboobs are VERY frequent there and it was fun to write about one as I've experienced them for 22 years; about 3 times each summer at the very LEAST. I do hope to find publication for the book soon ^_^

Home life has improved now that I homeschool my daughters. My youngest can now read! It has been easier for all of us that she also doesn't vie away from reading anymore. She will be the first to say "That sign says:..." etc. It is SO wonderful compared to the shy, teary-eyed child struggling in public school. She especially loves reading MY books! She says they are scary and fun and awesome all at the same time. Ahh hope rewarded ^_^

Soon I hope everyone may be able to give such praises. Here's hoping someone picks me up!

Have a lovely day!

GrrrRibbit Synopsis

Frogs, demons, magic sticks charmed with runes, and a few kids determined to free their friends' dad. GrrrrRibbit is a book for middle graders that will take them to a world very much like this one, but where magic exists and heroes are real.
Hopefully the man they are rushing to save actually wants to be saved. Because cuss-word using evil demons can't be real... right? Either way Crystal and Jacob have a whole new respect for their aunt in teaching them to keep their language clean!

The book is finished, and it is waiting to be published. Wish me luck in finding a lovely agent!

Thank you!

NEWS!!!

I seem to have found myself an editor. A whirlwind of ideas followed by a hurricane of questions has wrapped themselves around my mind these last months. She loves fantasy. Is not so much into my genre enjoys romantic goth etc., but believes in ME as a person and says my storyline is not only GREAT but something many people will buy! What better critic can you get!

She has already looked at much of it. She is quite excited. I am hoping that together we will be able to put forth some sort of finished product by Spring or early Summer. Such HOPE! How can I NOT be excited!!!

When she found out I had more than this novel her eyes went round. Aww how I love that look on a person when discussing MY books!

I hope I have news for you soon! Wish my editor and me good luck on our newest adventure together!

Thursday, September 13, 2012

I received a call from a prospective editor at a publishing house. All I can say is I'm excited!

I am smart. I will research their company before making any deals. I will discuss everything in fine detail before signing a solid thing. I will also be grinning from ear to ear the whole time in hopes this is what I have finally been looking for! Eek how amazing is this!

Wish me luck as I start the adventure I've been waiting this whole time for!

Monday, July 9, 2012

My friend got her book published. YAYYYYYYYYYYYYYY. She did self publishing and it is now being sold on Amazon. I certainly am quite excited for her. The package she found was cheap and the people she worked with did all she wished. How amazing to have a book you wrote published and on your mantle!!! I look forward to the day I can enjoy similar joy.

I do know that self publishing is expensive. I hope to find an agent and publishing house willing to front all the costs for a book i write that they all know will be an instant hit. Soon MY books will adorn mantlepieces as well as my friend's. I look forward to that day with a greedy excitement!

Wish me luck!

Blurb

Dark choices spawn pathways not always seen by the transgressor. Heroes that would not have needed to know their capabilities are suddenly thrust into circumstances to prove themselves.

Apparently it’s this nonhuman’s turn.

I’d run away screaming if not for the ‘perk’ I’ve stolen for myself on the way to heroism. He is the only reason I would contemplate this and I won’t let them take him away. I couldn’t do this without him.

Watch out worlds, Julia Fairchild is coming...

... whether I'm ready or not.

Prepardness stress: a late night venting

Lately I have been running around researching everything possible about food storage: The 72 hour emergency kits, the 1 month rations for extended emergencies, the one year stash for times of economic troubles, and the long term food storage of 7 years with a shelf life expectancy of 30 years for the food.

This is very stressful for me. I worry everyday over a new disaster and am almost met with one. Recently it has been Japan. I think I needed it to kick me in the butt to try and get in gear for my family. Stress is a warning sure, but too much... I am losing weight already.

I haven't figured how to stop stressing just yet. Now that I've finally made the decision to start a reserve food stash, I am finding things that stress me out even further. My husband is on the fence with his job; a few too many tardies to explain exactly. I know it has been my fault with the surgeries I've been undergoing, the ones I still need, the miscarriage recently, and the all over constant ill feeling of my body. He has tended to me as an angel of mercy. And now is suffering at work because of it.

I pray for help. I pray for prosperity even in these times. I am currently praying for extra prosperity and the understanding of my husband and his work on all things so we may end up with the financial reserve for this mass food piling I've wanted to start for years. I feel overwhelmed, unprepared, and inadequate for the task before me. Yet I feel very strongly that it is a task put upon my shoulders, not anyone else's.

Oh where do I begin then?

I have literally searched thousands of websites that promise the least expensive pricing for the most expensive tastes. I see pricing from 1k-12k depending on variety and trademark. I see the backpack I want for the 72 hour kit tagged with the most expensive price, and not boasting all that the $100 cheaper one has. My head is going to explode with the migraine tonight and I fell apart crying.

I also cannot ignore the persistent idea that if I could just get my book published... oh so much there.
I know my books would be snatched off the shelves, leading to much money in my pocket, and finally I'd have the food reservoir I desire.
Not just stopping there...
No, I'd have the home with which to put it, financial stability for years to come, help with bills stacked up around here, school loans paid off, credit obliterated. SO very much more if/when, for I must believe that one day I will aspire to that which I desperately desire.

I mist and tear up worrying about the future. My mind ever wandering I find myself on the natural disasters foretold to come. I believe they may be sooner than we all think, than we all want. I know many of us will survive such disasters, but I know economic stability will be a dream none of us will be able to ever see again as well. I stress on the inside until the river in my eyes decides to over run her banks. That is tonight and I vent here.

I am comforted to know my Heavenly Father loves me. He will protect me as he sees fit. I do know that a speedy trip to His loving arms is sometimes how he 'protects' His saints. I wish to better myself before thrust into the guilt waiting for me after this life ends. Thus I search out food storage and water purification sites.

Heaven help us all when the last of the earth's tremblings come. They will be together and calamitous to say the least. I am barely ready for the fewer sporadic ones preceding it all.

Prayers help. The Spirit is strong when I read my scriptures. I have hope, that is why I research these life-prolonging techniques commanded of me and my church. I am glad I have gotten to, however precariously, know my God. I will be improving our relationship with fervor hopefully until the end of the life He has granted me. "Now is the time to prepare" has so many different meanings and I endeavor to accomplish 'prepared' in all its forms.

Superstitions of the Ides of March tribute

The times in march referred to as the Ides of March are arguably held on the 13th and 15th of the month. They were created as a celebration of the God of Mars and date back to before the Romans. Myth, legend, and superstitions have spurned to life concerning them when Caesar of the Roman Empire was brutally stabbed 22 times by his best friend and others seeking power. In following centuries many other black days have found themselves falling on these days in March as well. However despite the black cat syndrome the Ides of March are meant for Celebration instead of dour days of fright and forewarning.

I wish you all a Happy Ides of March everyone. Please enjoy the poem I wrote. Though I admit, it was inspired by the witches in Shakespeare's play, thus I dabbled in the superstitions of the holiday instead of the happy celebratory spirit. Enjoy!

My Poem:

A Warning.

Woe betides of the Ides of March the unsown victims of brewed disasters. Envisaged the pernicious witch hath given injurious enemy thy mortal cusp, a doom beget for thy physiognomy alone. Thine threnodial dictation creeps onward for thee dramatically preformed: beware lest Caesar’s fate becomes thy own. Conspirators can be thwarted with proper advance; make it thine before thy time besets. Go.
Verbum sat sapienti, I thus depart.

~Bethany

Life is consuming. Who of us does not know that? I live in a world of fantasy when I write, but can find fantasy in the world I live when in the right mood. I love finding unique perspectives and intriguing circumstances and knowing somehow, that this is as real as I let it be.

Miracle of miracles, Magic shared, Ancestral prophecies, and the occasional fortuitous accident are great premises for fantastic books I have read and written. Soon there will be one out there with a byline with my name. I am eager for such an opportunity to soon be within my grasp. So I push on.

A tidbit from my day.

After stoking the fire and putting in tons of easily flammable kindling, the fire still would not take a good effect. The girls are watching, excited over every little thing Daddy does, but knowing something is not right since it won't light.

Daddy then smartly bends over to breathe on it, blowing rather hard to help it along. Suddenly flames burst forth and all the kindling is devoured almost instantly, the logs catch on right behind it. The silence lasts for ten seconds and the girls faces are priceless.

Then the exclamation: WOW!!!! I didn't know Daddy was part DRAGON!!!!!!!!

The other: AWESOME!!!!!! Daddy, you can light all the fires in Barbie's castle now!

The ensuing giggles were heard deep into the night. I didn't have the heart to remind them that Barbie's fires were lit by the dragon Penelope and her father. Mmmm my girls ^_^

Mommy is part witch (born on Halloween)/leprechaun (turns milk green on St. Patty's Day), and Daddy is part Dragon. What a fun mixed breed the girls are turning out to be ;)

I cannot wait to tell them weirdness is inherited... :D

I started another book. A sequel to my frog one, it is already an instant hit. My daughters are very excited to find out what happens to Crystal and Jake now. Lets hope all ends well this time.

Book writing takes a long time. Perhaps not the actual story itself. A story can be as easily done as your hands typing out each word in ease for about a week. Done, a novel. Sometimes that happens for me. My novels are much longer, and I have often needed a month.

However after the initial story, comes the editing, and the querying, and the blurbs and synopsis. Many people are now doing these processes. Writing is no longer an overnight success. Too many people vying for the same place, part, time, and agent all at once.

Many wonderful books are being cast aside right now. Stories that would enlighten uplift and call to a part of you that has yet been addressed are passed over for reasons as simple as no time. No one has time to go over every book everywhere all the time anymore. This begs the question, how does a blurb explicitly convey all a book is capable of holding? My only consolation is that my blurbs do draw in the few out there reading them. Though again, time....

The curse of a very good writer is knowing you are good enough for shelf space, but not finding someone willing to set aside a few more minutes a day to make sure you get there. In a field where any chance of success is so heavily dependent on someone else it gets discouraging after not so very long when the same answer is repeated often.

Hopes for the future are not crushed in me yet. I will plow through as I know my stories are some that belong next to all the others. In one way or another this will not be the end of my writing escapades.

I am writing many stories. This gives me consolation that I will have works put forth some way or another.

So know that I have not given up. I am simply away from here in my efforts to studiously follow up on all avenues in my field of expertise. Soon I hope to give all my readers and supporters the news we all look forward to: I have a publisher.

Soon you will hear this. I am sure of it.

More Blurbs...

I must admit, this is still my very favorite book. It is hard to put it away completely. I know that if someone would just read it, they would be pleased with the world created within. My other books are fun, but they are not my 'first' book. My baby... here is yet another attempt at a 'blurb' to try to reel someone in. Let me know what you think ;)

I have always been self sacrificing, just ask my clueless cousin; even she sees how insane I am in catering to her. I never realized I would one day ask myself how far I was willing to go. Falling for a man clearly out of my league, I surprise myself when I am head over heals and not even asking questions. Well some questions, just not the right ones. Like, where was this mysterious isle of his and is magic really real?

He just asked of me what I deem as the ultimate sacrifice in order to save both our worlds. I knew I would do my best to save everyone; it was who I was.

However, I wasn’t going to sacrifice this one thing. Whatever the cost, I wasn’t going that far.

There comes a time in the life of a book where the word 'over-edited' gets used. A book that once made sense and told a brilliant story is suddenly thrust into the shadows of confusion and dark questions. Too many under plots and characters can make a seemingly harmless new 'addition' destroy the whole makeup of what once was a great story.

Back to a 'simpler' time, I have brought out the book it was before. Sub plots are ok sometimes, but without the needed subtleties to carry them through and a 'finishing' touch to them, they are trash.
I love editing, but now know that sometimes I can go too far.

I love learning. Just sad to see where one of my books has ended up due to constant nitpicking. The adage "If it's not broke, don't fix it" screams to me every time I open that folder now....

Wish me luck not to repeat this mistake again.

A borderline erotica book just came out with my book's premise... Based almost exactly like mine, but amped up on the sex and make-out scenes. It was released June 2010. I have not read it, but the synopsis is almost exactly like mine.

I emailed the writer. She said that the same thing happened to her once. It is devastating to work on something for so long only to find that someone has 'been there, done that' before you.

My consolation is that I have other books I can focus entirely on instead. Hopefully they are not out there for people to think about... hopefully I will have an 'original' original. Dreams are ever varied and perhaps I can find one undreamed.

Wish me luck as I go on further in my endeavors to publish a book and make a world entirely unique and simply wonderful.

I recently found a new voice for my book. It is still Julia's voice, but now it has more history, more information establishing my heroine. I am excited and will now endeavor to revamp the rest of the book in this new style I have discovered. My other books are lovely and have their own voice as well. This one was seriously lacking what was needed to draw one in. It was a great story, especially for my first novel... just seriously lacking. I now believe this new revamp will bring exactly what I thought was missing.

And now I am off to write!
